No. 2. The Church is born by the filling of the Holy Spirit and not by registration

Some people believe that registering a denomination with the government and obtaining a constitution and certificate automatically makes them servants of God. We register a denomination with the government to get approval that what we are doing is legal in our country. Such registration has nothing to do with being called by God. A pastoral or episcopal identity cannot help a person in ministry. Following the great work of redemption that the Lord Jesus accomplished, He officially launched His Church through the filling of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:1-4 “1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the sound of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them cloven tongues, as of fire, and it sat on each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” This is the official day of the birth of the Church. Despite teaching His disciples for three and a half years, it was not enough. They needed empowerment to be like Jesus Christ. A believer can be in a Pentecostal denomination but not be a Biblical Pentecostal. We must know that the word ‘Pentecost’ does not mean the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is the 50th day after Easter. The Holy Spirit descended on that day, which is also the 10th day after the ascension of the Lord Jesus.
We need the Holy Spirit to fill our homes and fill us as well. It is not enough to be filled with the Holy Spirit inside when we are surrounded by demons. We must know the importance of speaking in tongues even if we are not yet gifted. Speaking in tongues helps us pray for God’s will more confidently than praying in our human languages all the time. The Apostle Paul did not speak in tongues while ministering in church so that they would understand him. But when he was alone, he prayed a lot in tongues. He says that he spoke in tongues more than all the people in Corinth. 1 Cor 14:18,19 “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than you all; but in the church, I would rather speak five words with my mind, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.”
The church is not a building, but people who are given the power to overcome the gates of hell. Matthew 16:18 “And I say to you, You are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Sadly, some people have become accustomed to a life of sin while worshipping. But we must also realize that the Church of God is built on the ‘rock’ which is JESUS CHRIST and not on the ‘stone’ which is Peter. Jesus has given the church the power to control all the strategies of hell.

Kuna watu wanadhani wakisajili dhehebu serikalini na kuwa na katiba na cheti, tayari ni watumishi wa Mungu. Tunasajili dhehebu serikalini ili tu kupata kibali kwamba tunachokifanya ni kitu halali katika nchi yetu. Usajili huo hauna uhusiano wowote na kuitwa na Mungu. Kitambulisho cha kichungaji au kiaskofu hakiwezi kumsaidia mtu katika huduma. Baada ya kazi kubwa aliyofanya Bwana Yesu ya ukombozi, alizindua rasmi Kanisa lake kwa ujazo wa Roho Mtakatifu. Mdo 2:1-4 “1 Hata ilipotimia siku ya Pentekoste walikuwako wote mahali pamoja. 2 Kukaja ghafula toka mbinguni uvumi kama uvumi wa upepo wa nguvu ukienda kasi, ukaijaza nyumba yote waliyokuwa wameketi. 3 Kukawatokea ndimi zilizogawanyikana, kama ndimi za moto uliowakalia kila mmoja wao. 4 Wote wakajazwa Roho Mtakatifu, wakaanza kusema kwa lugha nyingine, kama Roho alivyowajalia kutamka.” Hii ndiyo siku rasmi ya kuzaliwa kwa Kanisa. Pamoja na kuwafundisha wanafunzi wake kwa miaka mitatu na nusu, haikutosha. Walihitaji uwezesho ili wafanane na Bwana Yesu. Muumini anaweza kuwa katika dhehebu la kipentekoste lakini hajawa mpentekoste wa Kibiblia. Lazima tujue kwamba neno ‘Pentekoste’ halina maana ya Roho Mtakatifu. Pentekoste ni siku ya 50 baada ya Pasaka. Roho Mtakatifu alishuka siku hiyo ambayo pia ni siku ya 10 baada ya kupaa kwa Bwana Yesu.
Tunahitaji Roho Mtakatifu ajaze nyumba zetu na atujaze na sisi pia. Haitoshi kujazwa Roho Mtakatifu ndani wakati tumezungukwa na mashetani. Lazima tuone umuhimu wa kunena kwa lugha hata kama bado hatujajaliwa. Kunena kwa lugha kunatusaidia kuomba mapenzi ya Mungu kwa uhakika zaidi kuliko kuomba kwa lugha zetu za kibinadamu kila wakati. Mtume Paulo hakunena kwa lugha akiwa anatoa huduma kanisani ili wamuelewe. Lakini akiwa peke yake aliomba sana kwa lugha. Anasema kwamba alinena kwa lugha kuliko watu wote wa Korintho. 1 Kor 14:18,19 “Namshukuru Mungu ya kuwa nanena kwa lugha zaidi ya ninyi nyote; lakini katika kanisa napenda kunena maneno matano kwa akili zangu, nipate kuwafundisha wengine, zaidi ya kunena maneno kumi elfu kwa lugha.”
Kanisa sio jengo bali ni watu waliopewa uwezo wa kushinda milango ya kuzimu. Mathayo 16:18 “Nami nakuambia, Wewe ndiwe Petro, na juu ya mwamba huu nitalijenga kanisa langu; wala milango ya kuzimu haitalishinda.” Inasikitisha kwamba kuna watu wamezoea maisha ya dhambi huku wakiabudu. Lakini pia tunapaswa kutambua kwamba Kanisa la Mungu limejengwa juu ya ‘mwamba’ ambao ni YESU KRISTO na sio juu ya ‘jiwe’ ambalo ni Petro. Yesu amelipa kanisa uwezo wa kudhibiti mikakati yote ya kuzimu.
