No. 10. The finished work of Christ (Kazi aliyomaliza Kristo msalabani) – Online Conference
Colossians 2:14 “having canceled the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was against us; he took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.” No one could cancel this handwriting of ordinances that was against us except when the Lord Jesus came and died on the cross for us. Satan no longer has information against us. Sometimes we have been forgiven, but the devil deceives us, making us think we are not forgiven and that we cannot forgive ourselves. Let us not give the devil the chance to think we are not forgiven yet. We must accept God’s forgiveness.
The Lord Jesus saved us from the wrath of God. We need to be saved from sin, from this present evil world, as well as from the wrath to come. Gal 1:4 “(who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God our Father.)” We have three main enemies, which are the devil, the flesh, and the world. Sadly, the world has entered the church. The beats of some songs in churches come from hell. We forget that Jesus has given us new life and a new beginning. Let us strive not to lose our identity as God's people.

Wakolosai 2:14 “akiisha kuifuta ile hati iliyoandikwa ya kutushitaki kwa hukumu zake, iliyokuwa na uadui kwetu; akaiondoa isiwepo tena, akaigongomea msalabani.” Hakuna aliyeweza kuifuta hii hati ya kutushitaki isipokuwa alipokuja Bwana Yesu na kufa msalabani kwa ajili yetu. Shetani hana tena taarifa zilizo kinyume chetu. Wakati mwingine tumesamehewa lakini shetani anatudanganya na kutufanya tujione hatujasamehewa na kushinda kujisamehe. Tusimpe shetani nafasi kwamba bado hatujasamehewa. Lazima tuukubali msamaha wa Mungu.
Bwana Yesu alituokoa na ghadhabu ya Mungu. Tunahitaji kuokolewa kutoka dhambini, kuokolewa na dunia mbovu ya sasa pamoja na kuokolewa na ghadhabu itakayokuja. Gal 1:4 “(ambaye alijitoa nafsi yake kwa ajili ya dhambi zetu, ili atuokoe na dunia hii mbovu iliyopo sasa, kama alivyopenda Mungu, Baba yetu.)” Tuna maadui wakuu watatu ambao ni shetani, mwili na dunia. Inasikitisha sana kwamba dunia imeingia kanisani. Mapigo ya baadhi ya nyimbo makanisani yanatoka kuzimu. Tunasahau kwamba Yesu ametupa maisha mapya na mwanzo mpya. Tujitahidi tusipoteze utambulisho wetu kama watu wa Mungu.
