No. 12. The finished work of Christ (Kazi aliyomaliza Kristo msalabani) – Online Conference
Rom 5:9 “Much more then, having been justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” When we are forgiven, we receive the righteousness that the Lord has given us. That righteousness comes from the work that Christ did for us on the cross. We receive that righteousness as if we had never sinned (JUSTIFIED = JUST AS IF WE HAD NEVER SINNED). We must overcome sin with God’s help and not in our own strength. God counts the sin we have committed in our thoughts, and not until we are caught doing it. Matthew 5:28 “But I say to you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Many of the people we see committing adultery today did it many years ago when they were alone in their rooms. So long as you sin in your thoughts, even if you have not committed that sin physically, the devil knows you belong to him.

Rum 5:9 “Basi zaidi sana tukiisha kuhesabiwa haki katika damu yake, tutaokolewa na ghadhabu kwa yeye.” Tunaposamehewa tunapokea haki ya kupewa na Bwana. Haki hiyo inatokana na kazi aliyotufanyia Kristo pale msalabani. Tunapata haki hiyo kama vile hatukutenda dhambi (JUSTIFIED = JUST AS IF WE HAD NEVER SINNED). Tunapaswa kushinda dhambi kwa msaada wa Mungu na sio kwa nguvu zetu wenyewe. Mungu anaihesabu dhambi tuliyoitenda kwa kuwaza kwetu na sio mpaka tukamatwe au tufumaniwe tukiitenda. Mathayo 5:28 “lakini mimi nawaambia, Kila mtu atazamaye mwanamke kwa kumtamani, amekwisha kuzini naye moyoni mwake.” Watu wengi tunaowaona kwamba wametenda dhambi ya zinaa leo, walianguka siku nyingi wakiwa peke yao chumbani. Ili mradi unatenda dhambi kwa mawazo, hata kama hujatenda dhambi hiyo kimwili, shetani anajua u wa kwake.
