Today, I will discuss how we benefit from Jesus' death on the cross. Let us not be ignorant of what was done on the cross for us. Satan wants us not to know what Jesus did for us. We must know the thoughts of the devil. 2 Corinthians 2:11 “lest Satan should get an advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his thoughts.” If you know the enemy, you have already won half the battle. First of all, we no longer live for ourselves. Now we live for Jesus. When you buy something, you have the authority to plan how to use it. We can no longer plan for ourselves. And we, too, if the Lord has bought us, should not have our plans but be in the hands of our Lord. 

2 Corinthians 5:15 “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.” Therefore, in our decisions, let us be guided by the Holy Spirit in everything we want to do now because we belong to the Lord. God knows what is before us and what we must do. Let us not live for ourselves. We are told to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and then other things will be added to us. Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Leo nitazungumzia kwamba tunanufaika nini kupitia kufa kwa Yesu msalabani. Tusiwe wajinga wa kutojua kilichofanyika msalabani kwa ajili yetu. Shetani anataka tusijue tulichofanyiwa na Yesu. Lazima tujue fikra za shetani. 2 Wakorintho 2:11 “Shetani asije akapata kutushinda; kwa maana hatukosi kuzijua fikira zake.” Ukimjua adui tayari umeshinda nusu ya vita. Kwanza kabisa, hatuiishi tena kwa ajili yetu wenyewe. Sasa tunaishi kwa ajili ya Yesu. Unaponunua kitu unakuwa na mamlaka ya kupanga namna ya kukitumia. Hakina tena uwezo wa kujipangia. Na sisi pia kama tumenunuliwa na Bwana hatupaswi kuwa na mipango yetu wenyewe bali tuwe katika mikono ya Bwana wetu.

2 Wakorintho 5:15 “tena alikufa kwa ajili ya wote, ili walio hai wasiwe hai tena kwa ajili ya nafsi zao wenyewe, bali kwa ajili yake yeye aliyekufa akafufuka kwa ajili yao.”Kwa hiyo katika maamuzi yetu tuongozwe na Roho Mtakatifu katika kila tunachotaka kufanya kwa sasa sisi tu mali ya Bwana. Mungu anajua kitu kilichoko mbele yetu na tunachotakiwa kufanya. Tusiishi kwa ajili yetu wenyewe. Tunaambia tutafute kwanza ufalme wake na haki yake ndipo tutaongezewa mengine kwa ajili yetu. Mathayo 6:33 “Bali utafuteni kwanza ufalme wake, na haki yake; na hayo yote mtazidishiwa.”
