MAKE GOD YOUR REFUGE
Refuge is a place of safety and protection.
Benefits of making God your refuge:
1. He will give you a compass or a direction – you will not get lost
Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
2. He will give you protection – He will watch over you in all your daily activities
Psalm 121:8 “The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
3. You will not be disappointed – He will make your enemies run away in seven different ways.
Deut 28:7 "The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Psalm 37:19 “They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”
4. He will provide for you
Psalm 23:1,4 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.”
Prayers:
1. Give us direction, and we will not get lost.
2. Keep us safe from harm.
3. Oh God, never let me be disappointed.
4. Help me to locate my green pastures – I will not lack anything I want.
