SEEK THE LORD TODAY
Isaiah 55:6 – "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near."
Seeking God is a decision that cannot be postponed. The right time to seek Him is now.
1. Seek God's Manifest Presence
God is omnipresent—He is everywhere. Yet, He invites us to seek His manifest presence: His power, guidance, and fellowship in our lives. God desires a personal relationship with us, not merely an acknowledgment of His existence. He wants us to seek Him while the opportunity is still available.
Exodus 33:15 “Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here."”
2. Your Life Depends on Your Relationship with God
True life is found in God. Our purpose is not merely to survive but to thrive—to experience His abundant blessings and become a blessing to others. A life separated from God is vulnerable to destruction, but a life rooted in Him is secure.
Amos 5:6 – "Seek the Lord and live, lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, with no one to quench it in Bethel."
The closer you walk with God, the stronger and more fruitful your life becomes.
3. Do Not Waste the Opportunity God Gives You
Every night when you sleep is a reminder of life's fragility. Every morning you wake up is a gift from God and another opportunity to fulfill His purpose. Use each day wisely, preparing not only for this life but also for eternity. Someone once said: Every time you sleep, you practice dying.
Amos 5:8 – "Seek Him who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns the shadow of death into morning and makes the day dark as night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth—the Lord is His name."
Each new day is God's invitation to seek Him more earnestly.
4. Seek God Before Trouble Comes
Do not wait until sickness, loss, or hardship drives you to God. Build a relationship with Him while you are strong, healthy, and able. Those who seek God before difficult times find strength, wisdom, and refuge when adversity comes.
Zephaniah 2:3 – "Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth, who have upheld His justice; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger."
Those who seek the Lord in times of peace will find Him faithful in times of trouble.
