(Overcome backwardness and retardation)
OPENING SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 2:1 - "Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea, as the LORD spoke to me, and we skirted Mount Seir for many days."
NO 1: DEAL WITH THE ROOT, NOT ONLY THE SYMPTOM
Many of us have been praying for breakthrough in our finances, our marriages, our careers, and our health. But we've been treating symptoms while ignoring the root!
The Word of God tells us in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
Everything that occurs in the physical realm originates in the spiritual realm!
NO 2: PRAY LIKE A WOMAN IN LABOR
The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 4:19, "My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you."
This is the kind of prayer that breaks limits! This is the kind of prayer that touches the heart of God!
Weeping is not a sign of weakness! The Lord Jesus Himself wept! John 11:35 says, "Jesus wept."
There are prayers that merely list needs—and there are prayers that enter the realm of the Spirit!
Many satanic covenants in people's lives need to be broken by the blood of Jesus!
HOW TO KNOW IF LIMITS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON YOUR LIFE
"How do I know if the enemy has placed limits on my life?"
Let me give you signs:
1. You are unable to make progress, even when you receive more capital, get a promotion, further your education, or get a salary increase.
2. You see a specific limit imposed on your family.
For example, a lack of longevity—family members dying young. An inability to rise above a certain standard of living—no one in your family has ever owned a home or graduated from university.
3. You succeed, but only after a very long, roundabout process and a great deal of wasted time.
A journey that should take a few days ends up taking many years! Deuteronomy 2:1 describes this: "Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea, as the LORD spoke to me, and we skirted Mount Seir for many days."
DREAMS THAT REVEAL STAGNATION
1. Dreaming that you are playing with snails or tortoises—this speaks of slowness, backwardness, and delayed progress!
2. Dreaming that you are wearing the uniform of a school you attended in the past—this speaks of regression, going back to where you should have moved on from!
3. Dreaming that you are playing at a school you attended in the past—this speaks of being stuck in a season God has already brought you out of!
4. Dreaming that you are living in a house you moved out of long ago—for example, in a village or a place you once rented—this speaks of the enemy trying to drag you back to your past!
But even if you do not have such dreams, your life circumstances may reveal that there is a problem somewhere!
