Do you know the danger of offending a child? (Unajua hatari ya kumkosesha mtoto?)
Mt 18:6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Please note that a parent or guardian can offend children, and also recognize that there are children who are saved and those who are not. On the day of judgment, children will be judged as adults.
Revelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
The penalty for offending a saved child is very great. A child has more qualifications for salvation than an adult. For an adult to be saved, he must approach God with the characteristics of a child. A child does not have foolish questions, and is quick to forgive and believe. Matthew 18:3 “And he said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
A parent shall be judged for hindering a child from serving God. The parent should realize that they have only been given the responsibility of giving birth to that child, but that the child is God’s property.

Mt 18:6 “bali atakayemkosesha mmojawapo wa wadogo hawa waniaminio, yamfaa afungiwe shingoni jiwe kubwa la kusagia, na kutoswa katika kilindi cha bahari.”
Tujue kwamba mzazi au mlezi anaweza kuwakosesha watoto na pia tujue kwamba kuna watoto waliookoka na wasiookoka. Siku ya hukumu watoto watahukumiwa kama watu wazima.
Ufunuo wa Yohana 20:12 “Nikawaona wafu, wakubwa kwa wadogo, wamesimama mbele ya hicho kiti cha enzi; na vitabu vikafunguliwa; na kitabu kingine kikafunguliwa, ambacho ni cha uzima; na hao wafu wakahukumiwa katika mambo hayo yaliyoandikwa katika vile vitabu, sawasawa na matendo yao.”
Adhabu ya kumkosesha mtoto aliyeokoka ni kubwa sana. Mtoto ana sifa za kuokoka kuliko mtu mzima. Ili mtu mzima aokoke lazima amuendee Mungu akiwa na tabia za mtoto mdogo. Mtoto mdogo hana maswali ya kijinga, na ni mwepesi kusamehe na kuamini. Mathayo 18:3 “akasema, Amin, nawaambia, Msipoongoka na kuwa kama vitoto, hamtaingia kamwe katika ufalme wa mbinguni.”
Mzazi atahukumiwa kwa kumzuia mtoto kumtumikia Mungu. Mzazi atambue kwamba amepewa tu dhamana ya kumzaa huyo mtoto lakini ni mali ya Mungu.
