Business or Project Startup No. 5: Don't be a beggar (Uanzishaji wa shughuli au mradi Na 5: Usiwe ombaomba)
Don't be a beggar of a capital for your projects. Find people to partner with. A beggar is someone who wants to be helped and then benefits himself. Paul worked with Priscilla and Aquila in partnership and not as a burden. He did not tell them that he would stay with them to feed him, and then he would pray for their work so that God would bless it. Acts 18:2,3 “And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome. And he went to see them; and because they were of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked together, for they were tentmakers by trade.” My habit is that after I ask God for something, I do what I can. When the Lord Jesus saw people criticizing a woman for wasting her perfume, he said do not trouble her. Mark 14:4-8 “There were some who were indignant within themselves, saying, “Why has this perfume been wasted? For this perfume could have been sold for three hundred denarii and more and given to the poor.” And they grumbled at the woman. Jesus said, “Let her alone; why are you bothering her? She has done a good deed for me, for you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good to them; but I am not always with you. She has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand for the burial.” The problem with many people is that they do not want to do what they can, but they ask God to do everything for them. If we do what we can, God will do for us what we cannot.

Usiwe ombaomba wa mtaji wa miradi yako. Tafuta watu wa kufanya nao kazi mnufaike wote (partners). Ombaomba ni mtu anayetaka asaidiwe halafu anufaike mwenyewe. Paulo alifanya kazi na Prisila na Akila kwa kushirikiana na sio kuwalemea. Hakuwaambia kwamba atakaa kwao wamlishe halafu yeye atawaombea kazi yao ili Mungu aibariki. Mdo 18:2,3 “Akamwona Myahudi mmoja, jina lake Akila, mzalia wa Ponto; naye amekuja kutoka nchi ya Italia siku za karibu, pamoja na Prisila mkewe, kwa sababu Klaudio amewaamuru Wayahudi wote watoke Rumi, naye akafikilia kwao; na kwa kuwa kazi yao ya ufundi ilikuwa moja, akakaa kwao, wakafanya kazi pamoja, kwa maana walikuwa mafundi wa kushona hema.” Tabia yangu ni kwamba baada ya kumuomba Mungu kitu ninafanya ninachoweza. Bwana Yesu alipoona watu wanamkosoa mwanamke kwamba anaharibu marashi, alisema msimtaabishe. Marko 14:4-8 “Palikuwa na watu waliochukizwa katika nafsi zao wakisema, Kwani kupoteza marhamu namna hii? Maana marhamu hii ingaliweza kuuzwa kwa dinari mia tatu na kuzidi, wakapewa maskini. Wakamnung'unikia sana yule mwanamke. Yesu akasema, Mwacheni; mbona mnamtaabisha? Amenitendea kazi njema; maana sikuzote mnao maskini pamoja nanyi, na kila mpendapo mwaweza kuwatendea mema; lakini mimi hamnami sikuzote. Ametenda alivyoweza; ametangulia kuupaka mwili wangu marhamu kwa ajili ya maziko.” Tatizo la watu wengi hawataki kufanya vitu wanavyoweza bali vyote wanamuomba Mungu awafanyie. Tukifanya tunavyoweza, Mungu naye atatufanyia vile tusivyoweza.
