WHY SOME PROBLEMS REFUSE TO LEAVE

WHY SOME PROBLEMS REFUSE TO LEAVE

(believe and take action)

You pray, you fast, you attend church, you serve God, but problems continue to exist.

But today, we are not simply going to complain about the problem.

1. YOU ARE SEEKING REFUGE UNDER RELIGION INSTEAD OF UNDER GOD

Psalm 57:1 "In the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by."

David did not say, "I will hide under religion." He said: "I will make my refuge in You."

There is a difference between knowing about God and running to God.

You can know church language and still lack confidence in God.

Some believers have become experts in religious objects and activities but have forgotten the God behind their faith.

2. YOU HAVE LIMITED GOD

Psalm 78:41 "Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel."

Our previous disappointment can become our theology.

Your past is not the measure of God's power.

Psalm 103:3 “Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”

God is described as the One who forgives and heals.

Your problem may be bigger than your ability. But it is not bigger than God.

3. YOU HAVE NOT ALLOWED GOD TO EXAMINE YOUR HEART

1 Kings 8:37–40 “37 "When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; 38 "whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple: 39 "then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men), 40 "that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.”

Solomon recognized that when trouble came upon God's people, they needed to understand the condition of their hearts and turn toward God.

Psalm 139:23–24: "Search me, O God, and know my heart..."

Not every problem is caused by personal sin.

Job suffered without Scripture presenting his suffering as punishment for personal wrongdoing.

Therefore, we should not condemn people who are suffering.

But we should also never be afraid to ask God: "Search me."

Reveal anything that is working against Your purpose in my life!

4. YOU HAVE FAILED TO RECOGNIZE GOD'S HELP

James 5:14–15

James instructs a sick person to call the elders of the church so that they may pray over them.

This means God can work through people.

God used Moses to deliver Israel. God used Elijah to minister to the widow. God used Ananias to minister to Saul.

This does not mean we trust people instead of God.

It means we recognize that God can use people as instruments of His grace.

5. YOU ARE ALLOWING THE FEAR OF PEOPLE TO KEEP YOU BOUND

Matthew 9:20–22 For twelve years, this woman suffered with an issue of blood. - And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.

Twelve years! She had probably heard many opinions.

She did not merely believe. She moved. She took action.
