Learn to have a positive attitude toward everything you go through. Often, you are not hurt by what happens to you but by your reaction. Many people go through challenges like yours, but they have overcome them with a
positive attitude.
Case study: Two
people were insulted that they looked like a dog. One thought a lot about how a
dog is and how he was compared to it. So he decided to react by fighting back.
The other one reflected on how God uniquely created him and concluded that
he would never change and become a dog. So he responded by ignoring those
words. The insult was the same but one person REACTED and the other one
RESPONDED. As a result, the effects were different. You suffer because you
have chosen to react instead of responding.
1. God will
never call you without purpose.
Romans 8:28 "And we
know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who
are the called according to His purpose.”
God has more in store for you than you can imagine. The basic
thing is to know for what purpose God called you. If you fulfill the purpose of
your existence on this earth, you will live a fulfilling life.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I
know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and
not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
The need for your success is not only personal, even God who
created you wants to prosper you. God has a great plan for you today and tomorrow.
2. Know
God's timing
Ecclesiastes 3:1 "For
everything there is a season, And a time for every purpose under heaven."
There is no reason to force yourself to get everything you need
today. God has a special calendar for your life. Before you pray to God, know what season you are in. Never waste your time praying for rain in the dry season. Zechariah 10:1 "Ask the
Lord for rain during the spring, yes, the Lord who makes lightning, and he will
give you showers of rain, everyone will be given grass in the field."
However, prepare yourself as you pray for the rain of your
blessings. If a farmer has not plowed the field and has no seeds but prays for
rain, even if it rains he will not benefit from it. Make sure that the
blessings you ask for come when you are prepared. Otherwise, they may bring
negative impacts.
3. Be
strong and courageous
If you trust God for anything, learn to manage it. Do your part, and God will do His. Remember He is God of covenants. Sometimes, when we say, 'I LEAVE EVERYTHING IN GOD’S HANDS,' we do not mean that we have total trust in God but that we avoid our God-given responsibilities.
When God spoke to Joshua about being the successor of the ministry
of Moses, he said the words BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS three times. Jos 1:6,7,9 "Be strong and of good courage, for to
this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their
fathers to give them. "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may
observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do
not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper
wherever you go. 9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good
courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you
wherever you go."
If you are not ready to make tough decisions, many things will
not happen even if God spoke to you. God did not promise to do everything for us.
That is why He has given us intelligence and different organs. People who know
God are always hardworking and they are never lazy. Daniel 11:32b “...but
the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
So, remember that you are wonderfully and uniquely made. God has a great purpose for your life, a special calendar for you, and has given you a special capacity to fulfill His plan for you.
